International Dot Day

In his heartwarming book, The Dot, author Peter Reynolds introduces us to Vashti. She believes she "can't draw". Her teacher helps her to reconsider. Vashti overcomes her poor self image, and becomes a prolific creator. Then, in a tender moment, she passes on lesson.
Our students are encouraged to overcome negative critics and self doubt. They were set free to create. Some used computers. Some used crayons, markers, or pencils on paper. Just try. Then see if you can learn, persevere, and do even better. How will YOU make your mark?
